PM:Czech investment is welcome in Thailand's SEZs

BANGKOK, September 29 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has given his support for Czech business operators to invest in industrial production and goods distribution in his government-sponsored special economic zones (SEZs) along the common border with neighbouring countries. The Thai prime minister voiced the support while holding bilateral talks with Czech President Milos Zeman in New York on September 28 (local time) on the sidelines of the 70th United Nations General Assembly. Inviting Czech business operators to invest in Thailand's SEZs, the Thai leader informed the Czech president that the Thai SEZs would provide a good opportunity for Czech investors to expand their markets into the Mekong River Basin and member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) simultaneously. The Thai premier stressed his government is also happy to learn that the Czech government wants to strengthen economic relations with Asian-Pacific countries, praising the Czech Republic for achievement in considerable advancement and expressed his satisfaction with a plan by the Eastern European nation to cooperate with Thailand in biology , geology and climate change. The Thai leader is visiting the United States from September 24-30 to attend the UN General Assembly 2015. (TNA)
