PM:Thailand promotes women's roles

BANGKOK, March 7 (TNA) - Marking the International Women's Day 2015 on March 8, Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha says that Thailand has promoted women's roles and maintained a national policy on empowering women. Speaking to the public during his weekly address on Friday (Mar 6) night, Prime Minister General Prayut noted that the National Commission on Woman’s Affairs has been set up, showing the Thai government's commitment to promoting and supporting women's roles in the society. The prime minister pointed out that women now play more roles in various sectors in the Thai society. (TNA)
