PM:Thailand is ready to be good neighbor and strategic partner

BANGKOK, November 23 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha has assured that Thailand is a good neighboring country and strategic partner of other countries. Prime Minister General Prayut shared the stance while delivering his speech at the opening of the International Seminar Workshop on the Implementation of United Nations Guiding Principles on Alternative Development, organized in Bangkok on Monday. The Thai prime minister stressed that his government is ready to be a good neighbor and strategic partner of other countries in the same region and the international community so that the world will be free from poverty and inequality within 15 years. On the occasion, the Thai premier also said the workshop covers useful theories and guidelines for practice, as the international community acknowledges new development agenda. The Thai premier promised that his government is promoting equal opportunities and access to resources and laying foundations for the comprehensive development and reform of the nation. According to the prime minister, Thailand's new Constitution is part of the mission, as it will suit the Thai context and promote public participation. The Thai leader explained that his government’s development projects are people-centered because people cause changes and are affected, noting that his administration has emphasized integrated and inclusive development, as well as followed the Sufficiency Economy Principle, advised by His Majesty the King, to create balance and immunity for people.
