PM:Violence in far South will not affect Thailand's int'l businesses

BANGKOK, October 15 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha says that violence in the Thai far South will not obstruct trade and investment in Thailand, as the unrest has been contained within the southernmost Thai region. General Prayut made the remarks at Thailand's main Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Wednesday morning, prior to his departure to Italy, in which he is visiting from October 15-18 to attend the 10th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) in Milan. The prime minister, who is also Chief of the army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO), revealed that he will find chances to talk to automobile tyre manufacturers during his trip to Italy, aimed to promote Thai rubber in a bid to raise rubber prices on the domestic market.
