Police facilitate Toon’s charity run

Bangkok, Dec 5 (TNA) – The Royal Thai Police has announced police’s services along the charity run routes of rocker Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai to help guarantee the success of his mission to raise a fund for state hospitals. Deputy police spokesman Krisana Patanacharoen said the charity run session in Bangkok that had been earlier set for Dec 5 was postponed to Dec 6 but the route was not changed. Toon will start to run from Sri Ayutthaya Road at 4.30am to the Royal Plaza, Ratchadamnoen Avenue, Siriraj Hospital, Boromratchonnani Road and Kanchanaphisek Road to head for Suphan Buri province. Left lanes along the route will be closed when Toon’s team is passing. There would be traffic impacts in the morning of the weekday, Pol Col Krisana said. He advised motorists not to slow down or stop their vehicles to take pictures of Toon to minimise traffic impacts and prevent accidents. People could inquire about traffic conditions and the route of the charity run at traffic police’s hotline number 1197, he said. (TNA)
