PR, Communications Practitioners Can Bring Harmony In Asean

ALOR SETAR (Kedah, Malaysia), Nov 28 (Bernama) -- Public Relations and Communication practitioners can bring harmony in the ASEAN region, said the Malaysian Information Department director of the northern state of Kedah, Dr Haniff Hassan. He said nowadays, many countries across Asia are experiencing a revolution in the Information, Communication and Tehcnology (ICT) sector and the massive growth of the sector continues to have a phenomenal impact in people's lives. "It demands a paradigm shift in the manner organisations and public institutions engage with diverse groups with both international and local stakeholders," he said when officiating the ASEAN University Conference on Public Relation and Communications, here, Saturday. This demand, he said, requires Communication and Public Relations practitioners to develop competencies to build relationships with diverse groups in the ASEAN region. -- BERNAMA
