Prachuap Khiri Khan receives budget to improve tourist attraction

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, Oct 24 (TNA) -- Governor of the central province of Prachuab Khiri Khan Tawee Narissirikul said that a budget of 42 million baht has been allocated to improve once of province's main tourist attraction. The governor said the budget would be used to improve the scenery around the Chao Chong Krachok , which is located in front of the City Hall and is considered an important tourism landmark of the province, as the location is naturally inhabited by over 2,000 crab-eating macaque, which foreign tourists are especially fond of. He said the top view of Chao Chong Krachok also provided the best site for the glimpsing of the beautiful Prachuab Khiri Kan gulf, where tourists could reach the top of the mount through a conveniently organised stairway trail. Once up there, visitors would also be able to worship the Buddha's relic, informed the governor, added that His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has visited the location in the past as well. According to the governor, improvement plans around the site include the expansion of roads in front of the City Hall, repair of a fountain situatied within the Khao Chong Krachok park, maintenance of the waterfall and the stairway leading to the top of Chao Chong Krajok, along with the installation of a lighting system for a total distance of 275 metres, the construction of small balcony in 3 spots to be used as scenic viewpoint along the Chao Chong Krachok, as well as the building of a gate leading to the walkway trail, and the small improvements at the seaside public park of King Rama 9.
