Practical Industrial Art Pieces Created

Pyongyang, August 21 (KCNA) -- Efforts have been paid to the creation of industrial art pieces conducive to building an economic power and improving the people's living standard in the DPRK. In this regard, Ri Hun, a section chief of the Central Industrial Design Administration, told KCNA: The industrial art of the country is now at its best under the guidance of the respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. This year, industrial art studios, educational institutions and other units have produced over ten thousands pieces of industrial designs and designs of consumer goods, trademark, costume and mark. The Korean Industrial Art Studio, Pyongyang University of Publishing and Printing and Pyongyang University of Fine Arts have produced the designs for the exterior, interior and mark of new-type trolley buses, designs of ornamental letters for the bus of Pyongyang Primary School for Orphans and other industrial art pieces which have been highly appreciated for properly welding socialist content into national form. Among the peculiar designs are the one of milk powder trademark for the Phyonggang Meat Processing Factory and those of various glasses and spectacle cases. Many other industrial art pieces also won good appraisal from experts and working people for having both practicality and aesthetic value. -0-
