Premier receives BSTD Board Chairman

Manama, July 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Board Chairman of Bahrain Society for Training and Development (BSTD) Mohammed Mahmoud who introduced to him the new board members, in the presence of BSTD Honorary President Dr. Ibrahim bin Khalifa Al Dusari. HRH the Premier stressed the importance of human resources as a main component in the government’s programmes. He underlined the importance of well-qualified competencies in achieving high performance. He said Bahrain has been able to gain regional and international reputation in human development thanks to its competencies. He congratulated the new board of directors on the confidence of the General Assembly, wishing them every success in achieving set up goals. HRH the Prime Minister praised the efforts of BSTD in the training and development of human resources so as to boost the competence of Bahraini professionals. He took pride in the distinguished performance of Bahraini workers in many fields, stressing the government’s constant keenness on upgrading training programmes for them. He also underscored the need to support such successful Bahraini societies and institutions, pointing out the kingdom’s leading status in setting up such professional societies in many sectors. The BSTD Board Chairman thanked HRH the Premier for his unflinching support to the development and training march in Bahrain. He affirmed that this march will remain cherished as it asserts keenness to develop Bahraini human resources and promote their role in building the kingdom’s present and future. He pointed out HRH the Premier’s support to sending a delegation from the society to represent Bahrain abroad, noting that thanks to this support the society has become one of the most important ones at the regional and international level. He also stressed that thanks to HRH the Premier’s directives and farsighted vision, Bahrain has been able to bring about many achievement by clinching leading places in human development for many consecutive years. The BSTD Board Chairman described the international honours bestowed on HRH the Premier as an international recognition of his pioneering role in supporting human development and an assertion of his vision that only human brain can prompt the nation’s prosperity.
