Premiere of Leyli and Majnun film-opera held

Baku, March 18 (AzerTAc). Nizami Movie Centre has hosted a premiere of Leyli and Majnun film-opera as part of the “World of Mugham” 3rd International Mugham Festival. The event was attended by state and government representatives, scientific and cultural figures, as well as French actor Gerard Depardieu, and film producer Arno Frilli. Addressing the event, Deputy Culture and Tourism Minister Adalat Valiyev said that screenwriter and director of the film ws Mahdi Mammadov. Praising the film, Gérard Depardieu noted the importance of international mugham festival in Azerbaijan. People's Artist Aygun Bayramova and Mansum Ibrahimov acted as Leyli and Majnun.
