President Appreciates Society's Role in Improving Environment

Jakarta, July 12 (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono appreciates the role of the community in improving the environment. "Therefore, I am grateful that the people of Indonesia are increasingly aware of and loving their environment. Insya Allah (God Willing) the future of our children and grandchildren would be better, thank you to all Indonesians," the President said on his twitter account @SBYudhoyono on Friday. The President said he noticed that during his visit to Surabaya, East Java Province, in early July, the city was beautiful and green indicating the local government and the people care about the environment. "Besides, the previously barren and arid main road that connects Pacitan and Solo is now green and leafy. (The area) is more environmentally friendly, thank you," the president said on his other tweet. He called on all parties to continue paying attention to the improvement of the environmental quality.
