President Expects For East Asian-Latin American Connectivity

Nusa Dua, Bali, June 14 (Antara) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has said the East Asian and Latin American regions should build a connectivity in various fields, according to his special staff. "The president reiterated the importance of building such a connectivity in various fields between the two regions," presidential special staff of international relations Teuku Faizasyhah said here on Friday. He made the statement after accompanying President Yudhoyono to receive an honorary visit of a delegation of foreign ministers of the Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC). Faizasyhah said President Yudhoyono also stressed on the importance of connectivity between governments, business groups, and community members to strengthen the cooperation between the two regions. "Besides, the president also expressed his hope that the Forum for East Asia and Latin America Cooperation could contribute to the solution of global issues such as poverty eradication. President Yudhoyono when receiving the FEALAC delegation was accompanied by among others Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Mari Elka Pangestu, and Teuku Faizasyah.
