President hopes NAM to be more active in future

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – President Mahmood Ahmadinejad told his visitor from Ivory Coast that he hopes NAM to be more active in the next 3 years. According to the report of Presidential Office website, President Ahmadinejad received special envoy of Ivory Coast president and told him bilateral relations is 'suitable' and Iran and Ivory Coast are two brotherly nations and there is no problem in the way of promotion of mutual ties. Expressing pleasure with taken positive steps in the way of expansion of relations, Ahmadinejad added that there is great capacity which has not been activated and it is necessary that these capacities be used promptly. Special envoy of Ivory Coast president, for his part, appreciated Iran's intension for expanding ties with Ivory Coast and added that his country has many natural resources and Iran's help during the past 10 years has helped the country to make progress upon its own domestic abilities. He expressed hope that Iran during its 3-year chairmanship on NAM can expand ways to economic cooperation among member states.
