President Ilham Aliyev met with the Speaker of the Lower House of the Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov

Dushanbe, October 16, AzerTAc President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met Speaker of the Lower House of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov as part of his official visit to Dushanbe. During the meeting, the sides expressed their satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations, and stressed the importance of the role of parliaments in the expansion of relations between the two countries. The parties said that Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, which have deep historical and cultural ties, were friendly and partner countries. It was noted that national leader Heydar Aliyev played a great role in bringing the two countries closer to each other. The sides said the Joint Declaration, which was signed today by the Azerbaijani and Tajik Presidents, would greatly contribute to the deepening of cooperation even further.
