President Leaves Myanmar For Jakarta

Nay Pyi Taw, May 12 (Antara) - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono left Myanmar for Jakarta on Monday after his three-day working visit to attend the 24th ASEAN Summit in the country. Boarding Indonesian Air Force One, Boeing Business Jet 2 (BBJ2), President Yudhoyono and his entourage left Myanmar`s Nay Pyi Taw International Airport at 10 am local time, and was scheduled to arrive at Jakarta`s Halim Perdanakusuma airport at 2.30 on Monday afternoon. The president was seen off by Myanmar`s Energy Minister Zayar Aung, Myanmar`s head of protocol U Thurein Thant Zin, Myanmar`s Ambassador to Indonesia Min Lwin, and Indonesian Ambassador to Myanmar Ito Sumardo. Yudhoyono arrived in Myanmar on Saturday, and in the evening attended a banquet hosted by the country`s President Thein Sein for ASEAN leaders. Later on Sunday the Indonesian head of state attended the ASEAN Summit, in addition to plenary session and retreat of ASEAN leaders, ASEAN leaders meeting with the representatives of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), and representatives of ASEAN Youth. After attending the ASEAN Summit, President Yudhoyono chaired the 10th summit meeting of Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East Asian Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) and the 11th ASEAN Leadership Forum. During the visit, the president was accompanied by among others Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa, Coordinating Minister for People`s Welfare Agung Laksnono, Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.
