Presidential Aide for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov receives BSU award

Baku, June 30, AZERTAC The Azerbaijani President`s Aide for Public and Political Affairs Ali Hasanov has received "The University's Friend" award from the Baku State University (BSU). The award was handed to Mr Hasanov at "Akinchi traditions and modern journalism" conference marking the 140th anniversary of the national press. In his speech at the conference, the Presidential Aide noted that "BSU's hosting this conference isn't a coincidence at all". Mr Hasanov praised the university`s contribution to the development of the national press both through preparing professional journalists and researching the history of the Azerbaijani press. "We will continuously improve our strategy to develop modern journalism based on traditions of national Azerbaijani press," Mr Hasanov said. BSU rector Abel Maharramov spoke of the importance of President Ilham Aliyev's Decree on marking the 140th anniversary of the national press in Azerbaijan. During the event a number of media organizations received awards for providing information support to BSU.
