Presidential Office Head meets Russian scholars

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Head of the Presidential Office P.Tsagaan Thursday received a delegation of Mongolists from the Russian Federation. They are here to attend a scientific conference "Cultural Heritage, Manuscript and Archive Documents’ Collection of Mongolia" in Ulaanbaatar. Mr Tsagaan thanked them organizing the annual international conference of Mongolists, for publishing books on Mongol studies and for developing Mongol studies. He promised to back those who are engaged in the Mongol studies. The Russian scholars proposed that young Mongolists visit our country for 1-2 months to get au fait with its historical materials, archives, cultural heritage and manuscripts. This was supported by Mr Tsagaan. Present at the meeting were Dr I.V.Kuliganyek, a director of the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts in Central Asia and Mongolia at the Academy of Science of Saint Petersburg; Dr N.S.Yakhontova, an officer of Institute of Oriental Manuscripts in Central Asia and Mongolia at the Academy of Science of Saint Petersburg; I.M.Zakharova, a scientific worker of the State Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg; R.M.Valeev, a professor of the Faculty of Islam and Oriental Studies at the Kazan Federal University; Dr R.Z.Valeeva, an officer at the Kazan Federal University; S.Chuluun, a director of the Institute of History and Archeology at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences. After the meeting, the Russian scholars legged the Civil Hall in the State House.
