Prime Minister Opens Economic Empowerment of the Youth Forum

Doha, May 25 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani opened today at Qatar University premises the Economic Empowerment of The Youth Forum, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce to encourage the youth launch projects and innovative ideas in order to promote entrepreneurship in the country. At the outset of the Forum's opening session, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior gave a speech in which he underlined Qatar's conviction in the importance of empowering young people to become future leaders by arming them with knowledge in order to build and manage sustainable projects in different economic activities. He added that HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani drew up Qatar National Vision 2030 with the youth as its pillar, saying that its realization relies on the youth's excellence and contributions. " We, our sons and daughters, are confident of your abilities to accomplish many achievements in various sectors," the Prime Minister said. He explained that the government has worked continuously to remove all obstacles and to provide all means that qualify the youth to have access to new development prospects and enter the world of business to contribute to a better future for the State of Qatar. In order to achieve this national objectives, the government drew up a plan for nationalization and scholarships, HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser said, noting that the formation of a committee was approved to define the disciplines required in the labour market for the next coming years in light of the government's visions with regard to the concerned plan. HE the Prime Minister and the Minister of Interior said in light of the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030 towards the focus on the building of the knowledge-based economy with reliance on youth innovation, the State of Qatar laid down economic policies aimed at enhancing the growth of the private sector and empowering it to play a greater role in the economic development process through the entrenchment of the entrepreneurship leadership concept among the young generation and the encouragement of their personal initiatives by providing the appropriate environment for creativity innovation. "To achieve this, all government ministries and institutions, in partnership with the private sector, on which we rely heavily on moving forward the wheel of development, work for the implementation of many programmes and projects that provide you with all means and requirements that help you to be a fundamental pillar for achieving the goals of the State of Qatar".(QNA)
