Prime Minister visits Almaty

Almaty, March 24, 2010 (Khabar) - Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov has arrived in Almaty for a business trip. The International IT University was the first place the Premier visited in the city. According to Karim Massimov, the country is now suffering from an IT staff shortage while this university trains such specialists.
Karim Massimov, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan:
- I can promise that if you become well-trained specialists you will be required and you will defiantly find a job as state employees or in private business. While our economy is developing and we have new requirements, we extremely lack well-trained specialists. I think that this IT University will be among the leaders of advanced education which will help us train specialists for our economy.
The head of the Cabinet also paid a visit to the “46th-area” residential compound, the construction of which is nearing the end. 20 billion tenge was allocated through the Fund of Stress Assets to complete the construction of this and other facilities of the corporation in the cities of Almaty and Astana. The construction company reassured the Premier that all the works are being done timely and shared construction participants will receive their flats according to schedule. The Prime Minister also made sure that the construction of sport facilities for the Asian Games will be completed in time.
Slavenko Badura, head of “Shymbulak” Ski Resort Reconstruction:
- As you can see, we have been working all winter non-stop. Our constructors were working even in cold weather and they also worked until midnight everyday including Saturday and Sunday. Now, we can show that we are ready for a new construction season and we continue working intensively.
The PM is to hold meeting in the Almaty administration and discuss the preparation for Winter Asiada, housing fund of southern capital and realization of “Road Map-2020 program.
