Princess Sirindhorn on train trip to Kanchanaburi

BANGKOK, Oct 16 (TNA) - Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn made her rare train trip from Bangkok to visit communities and places of interest along the track in provinces to the west of Bangkok. The princess arrived at the Chitralada Royal Train Station from the Sra Pathum Palace at 11.20am and her train left for Kanchanaburi province at 11.30am. After having lunch aboard the train, the princess reached the Nakhon Pathom Station in Nakhon Pathom province in an hour. There she spent about 20 minutes visiting a local community near the station and paid respect to the Phra Pathommachedi stupa. The train was scheduled to reach Nong Kop sub-district of Ratchaburi province at 1.15pm. There the princess would visit a local community for ten minutes before travelling on to the River Kwai Bridge Station to view the bridge in Kanchanaburi. The princess would then check in at Dheva Mantra Resort and Spa hotel and later visit the Death Railway Museum and the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. On Oct 17 HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn would visit an elderly care facility and the Prommitr Film Studio in Kanchanaburi provincial seat where the series of the epic movie King Naresuan were filmed and the Mueang Sing Historical Park in Sai Yok district. On Oct 18, the princess will visit Phaholpolpayuhasena Hospital in Kanchanaburi provincial seat before leaving the province for Bangkok on road at 10am. (TNA)
