Production of Fertilizer and Chemical Goods on Increase

Pyongyang, March 10 (KCNA) -- The working people in the chemical industrial sector of the DPRK, out in a drive for implementing the decisions of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea, have boosted the production of fertilizer and chemical goods, hastening the construction of new production processes and the project for modernization. The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex over-fulfilled their February production plans. They are now increasing the production of nitrogen fertilizer. The February 8 Vinalon Complex, which realized the domestic production of various catalysts last year, and Sinuiju and Chongjin chemical fibre mills and other industrial establishments have fulfilled their daily production plans of such chemical goods as caustic soda and vinyl chloride. Getting higher is enthusiasm of the working people in the field of chemical industry to produce quality fertilizer and chemical goods in a larger quantity and thus contribute to the economic development and the improvement of the people's livelihood. -0-
