Professor: Persian, Language Of Poetry, Literature

Ankara, Oct 14, IRNA – A professor of the Persian language in Ankara University said that Persian is the language of poetry and literature. Hijabi kailan Kich speaking in the opening ceremony of autumn course for Persian Language here on Saturday evening, told students that if you want to know Hafez, the 14th century AD poet in Iran, you should learn the Persian language very well. He expressed pleasure that the number of students who are studying Persian Language has increased, adding that the center started its work with just a few students. Autumn course of Persian Language started its work in the venue of Iran Cultural attaché building in Ankara. In the opening ceremony, Iran Ambassador to Turkey Bahman Hosseinpour and cultural attaché Abolhassan Monfared Khalaj were present and participants in the ceremony commemorating Hafez Day. A number of Turkish students recited some poems of Hafez. Also it was declared that 22 students will pay a visit to Iran next week and will travel to a number of cities./end
