Project Qatar to Showcase 24 Global Pavilions at 11th Building Materials Exhibition,on May 12

Doha, April 13 (QNA) - Project Qatar, the 11th Building Materials Exhibition, starting May 12 here at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), is displaying 24 international pavilions. The international pavilions include Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Korea, Kuwait, Malaysia, Pakistan, Palestine, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey, the UAE and the United Kingdom, organisers said Sunday. Countries debuting this year are Indonesia, Palestine and Romania. Project Qatar will present a large number of new global exhibitors for the first time. Over 2,100 companies from 47 countries will cover the QNCC's 41,500 sqm of indoor and outdoor exhibition space. The French pavilion, organized by UBIFRANCE, will gather 30 French companies offering various technologies and French expertise for the building industry. French Trade Commissioner and UBIFRANCE Middle East Director Francois Sporrer said, "There are many construction and infrastructure projects in Qatar ahead of major sports events. Project Qatar 2014 is definitely the place to be which is why the French pavilion will gather nearly 30 French companies." Project Qatar 2014 is also set to unveil an advanced business-to-business matchmaking platform for companies to meet potential partners and suppliers. Visitors to the expo will find it easy to register and navigate through hundreds of exhibitors at Project Qatar through the exhibition management software. Visitors and exhibitors will also benefit from an advanced mobile application providing full information about the event, organisers added. (QNA)
