Prospects of political agreement on Iran’s nuclear programme real, Russian Foreign Ministry says

MOSCOW, March 26 /TASS/. Negotiators of Iran’s nuclear programme consider prospects for reaching a political agreement to be realistic, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich told a briefing on Thursday. "According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, our chief negotiator, and his "P5+1" partners /in the talks/, there are realistic prospects for reaching a political agreement, which could later be fixed by the foreign ministers," Lukashevich said adding that the "P5+1" group was discussing a possibility of taking the matter to a ministerial level. "Everything will depend on progress at the talks. The probability is fairly great," the spokesman said. A regular full-scale round of talks on Iran’s nuclear programme that started in Lausanne ./Switzerland/ on Thursday will last until March 29. Read more
