Protesters agree to move rally site

BANGKOK, October 10 (TNA) - Police say protesters loyal to the People’s Army Against Thaksin Regime have now agreed to move their rally site, from in front of the Government House to in front of Bangkok's Lumpini Park, during the upcoming official visit to Thailand by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. The police told reporters of the agreement on Thursday afternoon, acknowledging, however, that the protesters had vowed to return to rally in front of the Government House against the administration after the Chinese Premier concludes his three-day official trip to the Kingdom, scheduled for October 11-13. During his stay in Thailand, the Chinese Premier will, among other activities, hold talks with his Thai counterpart Yingluck Shinawatra, who is also Thai Defence Minister, at the Government House. The protesters have been in front of the government seat since October 7 to oppose the government for submitting a Charter amendment, approved earlier by the House of Representatives, for royal endorsement.
