Public Prosecutor inaugurates training course

Manama, May 25 (BNA): Public Prosecutor Dr. Ali bin Fadhul Al Buainain today inaugurated a three-day training course on fighting e-crime at the Judicial and Legal Studies Institute (JLSI) premises. The event organised by the Public Prosecution in cooperation with the International Network for E-Crime Prosecutors (Ecru), with participation of Public Prosecution members and their counterparts from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)-member countries and the relevant officials inside the Kingdom, as well as international experts in the field. The participants will discuss e-crime, its threats and challenges, incrimination of illegal electronic practices - i.e. cybercrime - under local and international legislation, and will also explore the role of the competent authorities and agencies regarding investigation into such crimes.
