Putin confident that Russian, Chinese lawmakers will establish new cooperation mechanisms

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed confidence that parliamentarians of Russia and China will be able to find new ways of mutually advantageous cooperation between the two countries. So reads his message of greetings to guests and participants in the Eurasian Economic Outlook international forum posted on the Kremlin website on Tuesday. "I am confident that in the dialogue with Chinese lawmakers you will outline the ways of establishing new mechanisms of mutually beneficial cooperation, the conjugation of various integration initiatives on the Eurasian space," Putin noted, pointing to the Silk Road Economic Belt which is being implemented. "Legislative activity determines to a large extent the direction and dynamics of economic cooperation, creates conditions for increasing investment flows, destroying protectionist barriers and improving transport infrastructure," he added. Putin noted that the forum’s agenda included "important issues related in particular to the development of the international relations of the Eurasian Economic Union, above all, in the Asia-Pacific region."
