Putin, Erdogan discuss implementation of Russia-Turkey energy projects

MOSCOW, June 8. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the implementation of large-scale joint energy projects with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Kremlin press service said on Monday after a telephone conversation between the two leaders. Putin congratulated Erdogan on the victory of the Justice and Development Party founded by Erdogan at the Sunday parliamentary elections. "The two leaders discussed a number of current issues of bilateral cooperation, including the implementation of large-scale joint energy projects, and preparations for the sixth meeting of the Russia-Turkey top-level cooperation council due to be held in Russia’s Kazan in the fourth quarter of 2015," the press service said. Putin and Erdogan agreed to continue personal contacts. Read more
