Putin, Modi call for boosting global efforts to fight terrorism

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have called for boosting global efforts to fight terrorism and extremism in Thursday’s telephone conversation, the Kremlin press service said in a statement. According to the press service, the conversation was initiated by India. "Modi conveyed deep condolences to the Russian people over the recent terrorist attack on the St. Petersburg metro, and stated that India strongly condemned this crime," the statement reads. The two leaders also discussed issues related to Russian-Indian cooperation in light of Modi’s upcoming visit to Russia, scheduled for June 2017. Read more
