Qatar’s Attorney General Meets Speaker of Iran's Islamic Consultative Assembly

Tehran, November 25 (QNA) - HE the Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al-Marri met with Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Ali Larijani, within the framework of his visit to Tehran . They discussed issues of mutual concern and means of strengthening judicial and legal co-operation to serve the interests of the two peoples. He visited the University of Judicial Sciences and gave a lecture on academic and civil society sectors' contribution in implementing the United Nations convention against corruption in his capacity as a special counsel for the United Nations to combat corruption. In his lecture, he tackled governance issues and the need to educate students the contents of the United Nations convention against corruption, especially with regard to the mechanism of prevention. The lecture was attended by a number of Iranian officials , Qatar's Ambassador to Iran Ali bin Hamad Al-Sulaiti and members of the delegation accompanying HE the Attorney General along with the teaching staff of the University and its students.(QNA)
