Qatar’s Environment Minister Visits Mal Lawal Biennale 2 exhibition

Doha , January 05 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Environment Ahmed bin Amir Al-Humaidi on Monday toured the Mal Lawal Biennale 2 exhibition, which is currently taking place at Doha Exhibition Centre and will continue until end of February 2015. During his tour, HE Al-Humaidi was briefed on the unique legacy of private collections from Qatar and some GCC countries, which blends heritage, culture and celebrates historical and social legacy that had a great value among members of the community. Mal Lawal, from the old Days in Qatari dialect, displays 4,000 traditional artefacts which tell visitors a story about their culture and heritage. It features manuscripts, weapons, Islamic collections, old maps, ethnographic and heritage items, antiquities, jewelry, clothing and accessories as well as many other rare items from Qatar and GCC states.
