Qatar’s Human Rights Council Delegation to Visit Norway

Doha, January 31 (QNA) - A delegation from the National Human Rights Council (NHRC) chaired by Mariam bint Abdullah Al Attiyah will fly tomorrow Sunday to the Kingdom of Norway on a four-day visit. The delegation will meet with a number of organizations working in the human rights field, in addition to meeting with a number of workers syndicate in the country. In a statement to the press, Al Attiyah said that the visit was the first of its kind as the council looks to enhance its experiences. She added that such visits can help the council apply more initiatives in the field of human rights, particularly as Norway is one of the leaders in that field. She added that such visits also help exchange views about human rights, especially since traditions are different between Arab and European countries. (QNA)
