Qatar Advisory Council Holds Its Weekly Meeting

Doha, June 02 (QNA) - The Advisory Council held on Monday its ordinary weekly sitting of its 42nd regular session at its White Palace premises under the chairmanship of the Council's Speaker HE Mohamed bin Mubarak Al-Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting, HE the Advisory Council Secretary-General Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read out the agenda, which was then agreed upon. The Advisory Council then endorsed the minutes of its previous session. In a speech he delivered before the Advisory Council on occasion of the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning's presentation of the comprehensive urban plan , the Council's Speaker said: "We are delighted at this session to welcome Assistant Undersecretary for Planning Affairs Ali Abdullah Ali Al-Abdullah and his escorts to present the comprehensive urban plan of the State to the council and to provide any relevant necessary clarifications. " He added, "We seize such an occasion to thank the venerable Government , led by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al -Thani, for its fruitful and constructive cooperation with the council.. I also thank HE the Minister for his initiative and his keenness to present the plan to the council in view of its great importance regarding the interests of the country and its citizens. " Then Assistant Undersecretary for Planning Affairs and his companions presented the comprehensive urban plan of the State to the council and then Ali Al-Abdullah replied the relevant queries of the council members. In light of the discussion at the meeting on the comprehensive urban plan, the council decided to refer the matter to the Advisory Council's Public Services and Utilities Committee for further study and submit a report thereon.
