Qatar Advisory Council Sec-Gen Hails National Day as 'Source of Inspiration and Pride'

Doha, December 16 (QNA) - Qatar's National Day is a source of inspiration and pride for the country and the citizen, especially as it comes at a time when Qatar is witnessing a bright period and comprehensive renaissance in various fields, HE the Advisory Council's Secretary General Fahad bin Mubarak Al-Khayareen told QNA. He said that each state has leaders and uniquely notable figures who made its history and, therefore, they are celebrated. He added that the National Day on December 18 Qatar pays tribute to Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed bin Thani on the anniversary of his coming to power. "Sheikh Jassim bin Mohamed's rule came at difficult political conditions but he managed using his experience and wit to lead the country to safety," HE Al-Khayareen said, pointing to Sheikh Jassim's wise policy in dealing with the Ottomans and the British. HE the secretary general offered his congratulations and blessings to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HH the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on the National Day, praying for constant safety, security and stability for Qatar.
