Qatar Ambassador Participates in Maldives Celebration

Male, July 30 (QNA) - Qatar's Non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of the Maldives HE Rashid bin Shafie Al Marri participated in celebrations marking the golden Jubilee of the independence of Maldives. HE the Ambassador conveyed greetings of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to Maldives President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Qayoum and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of the Maldives. Fort his part, the Maldives President entrusted HE the Ambassador with his greeting to HH the Emir and his wishes of further prosperity and welfare to the Qatari people. On the sidelines of the celebrations, HE the Ambassador met with a number of officials in the Maldives government including Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr. Mohamed Shainee and Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. Ahmed Ziyad.(QNA)
