Qatar Awqaf Ministry Calls for Sighting of Shawal Crescent

Doha, July 13 (QNA) - The Crescent Sighting Committee at the Ministry of Awqaf (Islamic Endowments) and Islamic Affairs has called upon all Muslims living in Qatar to sight the Shawal crescent on Thursday evening, 29th of Ramadan 1436 Hijri , corresponding to July 16 -2015. The committee in a statement on Saturday asks whoever witnesses the crescent should head to the ministry headquarters located in Dafna area to report his testimony. The committee will meet immediately after the Maghreb (sunset) prayer of the same day. (QNA)
