Qatar Central Bank Celebrates National Sports Day

Doha , February 13 (QNA) - HE Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Sheikh Abdullah Bin Saud Al Thani, announced here on Monday that the QCB will launchy a huge festival marking the celebration of the National Sports Day . Employees of the financial institutions running under the QCB authority, Qatar Financial authority, Qatar Exchange, Qatar financial center along with presidents commissioners and CEOs of financial institutions will all participate in this festival. HE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Saud Al Thani said in a press release addressed to QCB that the participation of the QCB in this event comes in compliance with the state's direction and its faith in the sport's role and its importance in rising and developing the society as well as the state's care and interest with the sports and forming the private infrastructure, as per the Emiri Decree No. 80 of 2011 concluding that Tuesday in the second week of February each year will be the State's National Sports Day. During the celebration, which will take place in the main arena of QCB, the participants and winners of the celebration activities will be honoured. QCB governor stressed the Bank's keenness to take part in that day having faith in the sports role in the society and enhancing the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani. QCB's press release encouraged everyone to engage in the events of the day and to contribute to its success. (QNA)
