Qatar Chamber , Pakistani Delegation Discuss Trade Ties

Doha, October 05 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber (QC) and a delegation representing the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) of Pakistan, discussed Monday ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in a number of trade and economic fields. They focused particularly on food and agriculture sector. In a press statement, QC Vice Chairman Muhammed bin Ahmed bin Towar Al Kuwari said that the Pakistani delegation's visit is a good opportunity to strengthen trade relations between Qatari businessmen and their Pakistani counterparts, pointing to the strong ties between the two countries at all levels. As the world focuses on issue of food security,  Al Kuwari said that Pakistan is a strategic partner of Qatar in this aspect and has a large production capacity, which is at the same time in need to local partners.        For his part, LCCI Vice President Syed Mahmood Ghaznavi said that the visit aims to discuss ways to enhance trade exchange between the two countries , saying Qatar could import a lot of Pakistani products such as, for example, rice, vegetables and fresh products.
