Qatar Charity Distributes Infant Formula Milk in Besieged Aleppo

Doha, July 25 (QNA) - More than 6000 Syrian children have benefited from infant formula milk provided by Qatar Charity for the besieged City of Aleppo within the its urgent campaign for relief operations in Aleppo. In a press release on Monday, Qatar Charity said the project comes within the framework of its continued relief efforts for residents of the city of Aleppo, which are suffering from difficult siege and humanitarian conditions, noting that it has provided 12,300 pack milk for children, benefiting 6150 children, for a month.   The QR 284,830 project implemented in cooperation with the Turkish IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation aimed at providing milk for children and help mothers to secure basic food for their children in besieged areas of Aleppo. Mohammed Rashid Al Kaabi, Director, Relief Management, QC, said the relief campaign for Aleppo is still ongoing due to the worsening humanitarian situation in the city because of the incessant shelling against civilians and the imposition of siege. Qatar Charity launched at the beginning of the month of May an urgent appeal for relief operations in Aleppo and has allocated a QR10 million emergency aid to meet the immediate needs of the city's population.
