Qatar Charity Projects in Sudan Last Year Value QAR 28 Million

Doha, January 31 (QNA) - The value of the projects implemented by the Qatar Charity in the Republic of the Sudan last year totaled QAR 28 million and benefited approximately 152 000 people. Qatar Charity said in a press release issued today that projects in Sudan last year covered the areas of health, water, education, orphan sponsorship, shelter and support for women and children in 10 states. The statement said the society has spent more than QAR 10 million to support the women, family and childhood sector, while the total budget spent on seasonal and relief projects valued more than QAR two million. In the area of income-generating projects 227 projects at a total worth QAR 773 thousand, by interest free loans in partnership with local organizations that have expertise and efficiency. (QNA)
