Qatar Development Fund Allocates QAR 4 million Scholarships for Students in Comoros

Doha, June 26 (QNA) - Qatar Development Fund (QDF) and the Qatar Charity on Sunday signed a QAR 4 million grant agreement to provide scholarships for 63 students from the Republic of the Comoros, including 33 students in the medical field and 30 students in various scientific fields such as mechanical, electronic and electrical engineering, agricultural engineering and others. Director of QDF Strategic Planning, Ali Bin Abdullah Al-Dabbagh, said this grant comes to enhance the role being played by the State of Qatar in the Republic of the Comoros, especially after the Donor Conference, hosted by Doha in 2010, expressing hope that this initiative would promote the sustainable development efforts in the country. For his part, Executive Director of the Department of International Development at the Qatar Charity, Mohammed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi, praised QDF 's initiative to allocate a number of scholarships for students of the Comoros, considering it as a real human investment aimed at achieving development and prosperity goals in the country.
