Qatar, Ecuador Hold Official Talks

Doha, October 22 (QNA) - An official talks session was held Wednesday at the Emiri Diwan between the State of Qatar under HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and the Ropublic of Ecuador under President Rafael Correa. The sess was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers. From the Ecuadorian side, the session was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying President Correa. During the session, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means to bolster them in different spheres. HH the Emir and HE the President of Ecuador witnessed the signing of an agreement on on the waiving of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and special passports between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Ecuador, an agreement on avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes and a memorandum of goodwill on media cooperation and exchange of news between Qatar News Agency and the Secretariat of the National Telecommunications of the Government of the Republic of Ecuador. HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of the President of Ecuador and his accompanying delegation. The President of the Republic of Ecuador was accorded official reception upon arrival at the Emiri Diwan. (QNA)
