Qatar Fifth Phase of Relief Campaign for Syrian Refugees in Lebanon Begins

Doha, December 21 (QNA) -At the directives of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar fifth phase relief campaign has started including humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon who are experiencing difficult humanitarian situation, with an aim to help alleviate their suffering . The fifth phase of the relief campaign, which costs $ 60 million is to provide food, clothing and health aid to about 680,000 Syrian refugees after a severe cold wave which has increased their suffering . The campaign was expanded to include the Bekaa, Metn, Kesrouan and jbiel regions, in addition to areas north and east of the Bekaa Valley, the northern Bekaa, Akkar, Tripoli, Dennie and Alia. The costs of humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon in the previous four stages amounted to $ 68 million dollars, including ambulances, a field hospital, health centers, medicines and foodstuffs. Qatar has provided assistance to the brotherly Syrian people inside Syrian territory and on the borders with Turkey and Jordan. (QNA)
