Qatar National Day Celebrations

Doha, December 18 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Dr. Ghaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari said all the people of Qatar are today in joy and pleasure in a day of loyalty and unity around the leadership. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of celebrations marking the country's National Day, HE the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs saidthe Qatari people are living the pleasure of the National Day while the country is making steady steps forward. For his part, HE the Minister of Public Health and Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Health Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani expressed his deepest congratulations to HH the Emir, HH the Heir Apparent and the people of Qatar on the occasion of the National Day. In a statement to reporters Al-Qahtani said the National Day was celebrated in distinctive atmospheres, expressing gratitude for those in charge of the national parade and it its different displays HE the Qatari Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah congratulated HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on the occasion of the National Day. In a statement to reporters after the national parade HE the Chief of Staff congratulated the Qatari people on this great occasion which is dear to the heart of every citizen, wishing the State of Qatar progress and prosperity under its wise leadership. In response to a question Major General Al-Attiyah praised the great coordination between the armed forces and security bodies in the national parade, expressing his thanks to the celebrations organizing committee and its chairman for their efforts which resulted in a wonderful celebration. HE the Chief of Staff said the armed forces always try to keep pace with the era and the evolution of equipment and combat technologies, referring in this respect to the latest aircraft that joined the service recently, adding that the future will see further development of the armed forces.
