Qatar National Sport Day: Minister of Endowment: Sport Day Affirms Country's Care for People, Making Sport Lifestyle

Doha, February 09 (QNA) - HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) Ghanem bin Shaheen Al Ghanem affirmed that the National Sport Day is a sincere and expressive message of the country's care for people, and for consolidating the importance of sports in the society, pointing out that the Ministry is inspired on this day by the right Islamic pillars in preserving the soul and body. In a statement on the National Sport Day, His Excellency pointed out to the Ministry's keenness on the participation of its employees, their children and the public in the activities of the National Sport Day by practicing sports activities, with a commitment not to gather, to achieve awareness of the importance of sport and its prominent role in the renaissance and development of societies, support and encourage everyone to practice it and contribute to making it an approach to a healthy life. His Excellency valued the keenness of the wise leadership to dedicate a day for sports every year to stress the importance of sport, with its ethical and human values, and its many health benefits, and raising awareness of citizens and residents of the State of Qatar about the importance of sports in daily life, and encouraging them to practice it throughout the year. HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs also considered that dedicating a sport day enhances the importance of practicing sports and making it a lifestyle, due to its multiple benefits for individuals, both physically and spiritually and to be mentally and physically healthy, capable of creativity and giving, in a way that enables them to participate effectively in building the nations renaissance and development.
