Qatar Partakes in a Ministerial Meeting on Roadmap of WHO's Work for the Eastern Mediterranean Region

Doha, September 02 (QNA) - The State of Qatar is participating in a ministerial meeting on "Roadmap of WHO's Work for the Eastern Mediterranean Region" which will start on Monday in the city of Salalah, Sultanate of Oman and organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean. The delegation of the State of Qatar is headed by the assistant secretary general for medical affairs at the Ministry of Public Health Dr. Saleh bin Ali Al Marri. The meeting comes as part of WHO's efforts to continue to focus on the issue of universal health coverage through a series of events throughout 2018. The meeting highlights global best practices to move towards effective health coverage by strengthening health systems in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan. (QNA)
