Qatar to Participate in 15th GCC Joint Exhibition

Doha, May 20 (QNA) - The State of Qatar will participate in the 15th GCC Joint Exhibition which will be held in the UAE under the theme 'Made in the GCC' from May 26-30 at the Sharjah Expo Centre. The Qatari pavilion will have more than 13 companies and will occupy an area ??of 1,000 square meters to showcase their various products in the industrial and commercial sectors, services and others. According to the GCC Exhibition Committee which consists of representatives from the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance, General Authority for Tourism and Qatar Chamber, Qatar's participation in this event comes within the framework of its commitment to strengthen the process of cooperation between the GCC countries, especially on the economic and trade levels and to reach the desired integration for the interests and aspirations of their people. The exhibition aims to introduce the companies and institutions in the GCC region and targets ministries and institutions interested in the field of economy and investment in development and vital projects in addition to shed the light on the encouraging business environment and highlight the role of the GCC countries in supporting small and medium enterprises, encouraging innovation and creativity, protecting consumer rights and providing appropriate opportunities for GCC dealer for marketing his products in order to increase the volume of trade exchange between the GCC countries. It also aims to introduce investment and trade opportunities offered by the GCC economy to foreign investors and to market electronic services of the business sector. The exhibition, which will feature more than 200 exhibitors from the Gulf region, will focus on the sectors of industry, commerce, business, small and medium enterprises, construction, transportation, aviation, renewable energy, tourism, media, agriculture, investment, food security, oil and gas. The GCC Joint Exhibition is organized every two years in one of the GCC countries, Kuwait hosted the previous edition of the event in 2007. (QNA)
