Qatar to Participate in International Holy Qur'an Competition

Doha, December 21 (QNA) - The State of Qatar will participate in the 10th competition of King Mohammed VI international Award for Recitation of the Holy Quran, due to start in Casablanca on Tuesday. The State of Qatar will represented at the contest by Youssuf Ahmed Youssuf Asheer, from the full memorization, recitation and interpretation branch alongside representatives of thirty countries. The two-day contest is composed of two branches, the first pertains to the full memorization of the Holy Qur'an with recitation and interpretation, while the second relates to tajweed (rules governing pronunciation during recitation of the Qur'an) and good performance with the memorization of two and a half parts of the Qur'an.(QNA)
