Qatar Primary Materials Company Marks National Sports Day

Doha, February 09 (QNA) - Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) staff and labor participated in the National Sport Day celebration by taking part in the Aspire Zone activities. "As Qatar's trusted arm in the supply of primary materials across all the infrastructure projects in Qatar, QPMC is deeply committed to the welfare of the local people; in parallel QPMC participates in a number of community events all year long as part of its commitment to the Qatari community," QPMC's Chief Executive Officer Engineer Eisa Al Hammadi said. "The prime choice of making Aspire Zone our primary destination for National Sport Day is their efforts to pool both government entities and private sectors together which falls well in line with QPMC's vision to merge, integrate and diversity the efforts of both public and private sectors in Qatar across all the infrastructure and construction projects in Qatar," he added. QPMC Director of Administration Dr. Latifa Al Darwish highlighted the importance of the National Sport Day commemoration which comes to break the daily corporate routine and to prove that sports is not solely associated and limited to sport clubs, athletes and championships. "At QPMC, we believe in the importance of exercise and leading a healthy and active lifestyle among our employees and labors alike," she said. Qatar National Sport Day has been celebrated every year since 2012 on the second Tuesday in February with the objective of promoting a healthy lifestyle among Qatari residents and citizens. Every year, it sees more and more residents and companies join the various sporting competitions and athletics, and appreciate the importance of physical activity for a healthier future. (QNA)
