Qatar Red Crescent to Host Doha Dialogue on Migration on June 15

Doha, May 28 (QNA) - An international conference titled 'Doha Dialogue on Migration 2014', organised by Qatar Red Crescent (QRC), will opens here on June 15 at Doha Marriott Hotel. A delegation from the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC), presidents of more than 25 Gulf, Arab, South-eastern Asian, and European National Societies, and top officials of major Qatari government, private institutions and corporations will attend the three-day conference inspired by the motto 'Saving Lives and Preserving Dignity'. QRC Chairman Dr. Mohamed bin Ghanem Al Ali Al Maadheed, the International Institute of Humanitarian Law (IIHL) President, Professor Fausto Pocar, and IFRC Vice-President Dr. Zhao Baige will be attending the conference, the organisers said. "This conference is a further step towards the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, which seeks to ensure a high standard of living for all society members," said Dr. Al Maadheed. "We hope that this gathering will shed light on the leading role of Qatar's business community in this regard and mainstream the importance of having concerted efforts to transform this approach from mere theoretical information into a nationwide culture and practice," he added.
